Handouts/Activities:

1) Learn how to sing "I Am a Child of God" in American Sign Language.  On the LDS.org page for this song,  on the right hand side, there is an option to download the ASL version to your computer or device.

2) Make a family link activity:

3) Make your own puzzle:  Have the children color this Adam and Eve page and they help them cut their coloring page into large pieces to make a puzzle.  Have one made in advance (colored and cut) so they can see what the goal of the activity is.

4) Use the figures to explain that, just as Adam and Eve (figure 1) followed God’s plan for families, we can follow that plan by living worthy of temple blessings (figure 2), praying for help (figure 3), and loving (figure 4) and serving (figure 5) our family members. Discuss ways in which you can show love and give service.

5) Make a Family Tree:

6) Print 2 of these for each child. Have them color and cut the plants out. Have them paste the plants on a background paper (perhaps colored paper) to make a garden of their own.

7) Adam, Eve, and us have been created in Heavenly Father's image. Talk about the body parts that we have and Heavenly Father has. Try to build a person on the board.  Have fun drawing different noses, face shapes, and hair.  Perhaps you could hand pieces out to the children and have them place the piece on the board where it goes.

8) Talk about how Adam and Eve's home was different from yours. In a bag place items and decide if it is something that would be found in Adam and Eve's home (Garden of Eden) or yours. Items might include, rocks, flowers, fruit, leaves, sticks, grass, pictures of wild animals, toilet paper, TV remote, ketchup bottle, fork, and clock.
