1) One of my favorite activities for this lesson is to print out the CTR shield (in coloring pages below) and have the children put it on the carpet. I have them poke holes in it with their pencils so it looks like little dots all along the shape of the CTR and the shield. Then we hold it up to the window, printed side away from us, to see the light shine through the holes and make the pattern.
